(VIDEO) 3 Ingredient Vegan Avocado Frosting

This frosting is only three ingredients, gluten free and vegan! An little hint of avocado comes through as sweetness, bringing healthy fats, potassium, and a natural green hue to the frosting. No animal fats, just plants!


1 cup powdered sugar (*for thicker frosting see below)

1/2 small to medium avocado

1 tablespoon water


1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and process about 30 seconds until smooth. Frosting is best used immediately. Can frost a cookie and freeze for later consumption.

This frosting is as simple as they come! Easy to whip up and fun to eat! If you want a thicker frosting, simply add a little more powdered sugar a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

I originally made this for my daughter's preschool class on St. Patrick's Day for a natural green color to our spinach cookies (more natural green color!) I'm not a fan of artificial dyes and colors in my food, and here's why.
